The Classes
Our Masters specialize in working with children ages 4 & up. Classes are divided by age and skill to provide the best possible match of teaching style to students’ needs. All children are taught at their own pace, to develop their present capabilities and bring out their maximum potential.
Adult 12:30-1:20
  • Cardio Conditioning
  • M-W-F
  • Fundamentals, plus technique and precision
  • The Adult Mid-Day Class could replace a coffee in the morning, to wake you up and get you energized through a nice work-out. It is a good cardio–based conditioning class, that is held three times a week. The class will fit the needs of someone who wants to get in an extra workout, mid-day or during lunch. Fundamentals are taught in this class, along with many energizing drills, focusing on technique and precision. This is an excellent time slot for those who work second/third shift.

    Pee Wee

  • The Pee Wee Class is a high-energy, fun class that delivers confidence building, respect, coordination, and balance through a positive, fun atmosphere. The curriculum is age appropriate. It is 30 minutes long and changes each day, to keep the interest of the children. The Pee Wee class introduces martial art based moves, to promote coordination and improve posture. This is an excellent age to introduce rules, respect and socialization skills. The class reduces shyness and molds the right habits for good body development.

  • The Children Beginner Class combines self-discipline, respect and fun, with technique. It teaches children how respect is applied not only in class, but in all aspects of life, especially at home. In this class, Children are encouraged to become more disciplined by paying closer attention to what they are doing, or asked to do. The class starts to fine-tune the children’s coordination, balance and attention spans. Fun is still a center-point . The classes last only 45 minutes. The curriculum stresses respect, and the foundations for a successful life; like self discipline, self control, patience and goal setting. Physically, the children will be working on flexibility, strength and general body awareness.

    Children Advanced

  • At this age, building strength, keeping flexibility, increasing endurance and cardio conditioning are the focus. The curriculum gives a higher level of body awareness and will start to teach the tenants of Tae Kwon Do:

  • Mental and physical patience
  • At this stage we focus on developing leadership & working on character so that they will be successful. Children will learn how to associate all social levels and how to handle pier pressure, how to set personal priorities & the meaning of ethics and character. Through the curriculum and testing children will learn how to handle oppressive situations both physically and mentally, and will focus on a higher level of Martial arts skills. This class is a good class to keep kids of this age active, in shape, and off the couch.

    Family Class

  • The Family Class is for students of all ages and allows children and parents to bond and workout together. This is one of the few activities that you can do with your children and both will benefit. It covers all physical, mental, and philosophical aspects of Tae Kwon Do. It is a fun atmosphere that Families can enjoy. This class is perfect for families with hectic schedules, so they can have something to share together. Motivate and encourage each other and have a unique experience that strengthens family bonds. Appreciate each other, help each other and develop open lines of communication. Training makes healthier bodies, minds and lives.
    There is also an opportunity to meet other families, who share your goals of health, discipline and self defense.

  • Adult Tae Kwon Do introduces advanced principles of Martial Arts. Find your limits and overcome them, while enjoying your training. Physically, you will gain more energy thru strength training, reduce stress through stretching, and improve stamina thru cardio vascular conditioning. By learning unique martial arts moves, you will discover new abilities that increase confidence. Also, by achieving your goals, you will rebuild self esteem. This class gives you time to focus only on you, not outside influences, to be a better person. Journey to redefine yourself. You will get the benefit of all this and an excellent work out and the added benefit of learning self defense.
    Hap Ki Do

  • Hap Ki Do is joint manipulation and pressure points, consisting of kicking, striking, grappling, joint locking, throwing and breaking. Hap Ki Do is true self defense. By understanding pressure points and the body’s range of motion, you will learn how to use techniques to disable an opponent. Due to the nature of Hap Ki Do, it is for adults only. Teens may be allowed on an individual basis only, depending on maturity. Students will gain from the cardio benefit, strength, body awareness, flexibility, mental confidence and self control. You will learn to be calm facing oppressive situations, because you will be confident in your mental & physical abilities.
